The Bristol Group began in Boise, Idaho in 2005 as a Business Brokerage and Merger & Acquisition firm.  We have acted as intermediary for main street and mid-market businesses up to $25 Million in business value.  Our industry focus includes manufacturing, distribution, business services, agriculture, and specialty niche retailers.  We prefer not to work with restaurants or small retail businesses.  

Trevin Rasmussen and Kelly Shaw are the principal business brokers working together as a team on every engagement.  Years of experience in management consulting, commercial banking, and owning small businesses has paved the trail for a smooth transition into the complex, yet exciting, world of business intermediary services.  

We are dedicated to successfully transferring business ownership for the seller clients that we represent.  Our unique approach allows us to focus more time and effort on your business.  The result is that our success ratio is considerably higher than the industry average.

Trevin Rasmussen is an experienced "main street" and mid-market business broker.  He is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and an active member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBB.org).  

Prior to becoming a business broker he worked as a management consultant for Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Rasmussen has consulted Fortune 500 and mid-market companies in San Francisco, Seattle, and Boise. He has worked in several disciplines of business including finance, strategy, and technology.

Mr. Rasmussen is a member of the International Business Brokers Association, Boise Young Professionals, and Director of the Boise Chapter of the Management Society.  He has a Master of Information Systems Management degree and a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University.

Kelly Shaw, CBC

Kelly has been a partner in an investment banking and business consulting firm, an owner or manager of 15 privately held companies, and the founder of a distribution company that was acquired by a Cintas, a Fortune 500 Company.  The combined operations included more than 200 employees and $25 Million in revenues.  

He started his career nearly 30 years ago as a commercial loan officer in the banking system.  There he financed business start-ups, operations, and on-going cash needs for businesses.

Mr. Shaw is a Certified Business Coach (CBC) and a member of the International Business Brokers Association.  He is the author of a book, the director of a leadership camp, and father of 5 children.  He holds a BA in International Relations with an emphasis on International Business from Brigham Young University.
